Ministry Opportunities
Choir

The Divine Peace Choir sings at least once a month during worship and for almost all of the church’s special worship services, such as Christmas and Easter. Occasionally the choir performs at venues other than church. Directed by Barb Ondrisek, the group rehearses on most Sundays after service and social time, noon to 1:00 pm, from September to May, with occasional extra rehearsals as needed. While helpful, the ability to read music is unnecessary. New singers are always welcome!
Audio/Visual Team
Directed by Barbara Hardeson, Divine Peace’s Audio/Visual Team includes volunteers who create the powerpoint presentation for every worship service, persons who run the powerpoint during each service and persons who staff the soundboard. Training is offered to volunteers to prepare them for this ministry.
Blessing Crew

The Divine Peace Blessing Crew believes that “we have been blessed to be a blessing” and seeks to bless others by reaching out to fulfill people’s needs and creating relationships between the Divine Peace community and other organizations. Some of the ministry performed by the Blessing Crew includes sponsorship of families in need and taking collections for area social service organizations.
Building and Grounds
This team, managed by Sue Zander, cleans and maintains the church’s physical plant. If you can sweep, vacuum, mop, dust or are handy at simple repairs, help is always needed in this ministry area.
Lay Worship Leaders
Lay
Worship Leaders are persons who are not clergy, but lead worship by reading
Scripture, consecrating Communion, leading prayers and ushering. The pastor makes training available for
persons who are gifted and feel called to participate in worship in this very
special way.
Help Wanted
Some much needed
volunteer ministry areas include a coordinator of social events, people to run
the church’s audio/visual equipment during worship services, and 4 to 5 persons
to form a beginners’ chime group. Some
ability to read music is desirable.
